How to Measure

Bust

To measure your bust, you need to take two measurements: your underbust and your bust:

1. Underbust

With your arms at your sides, remove your top and bra, and place a tape measure directly below your bust. Make sure the tape is level, snug, and comfortable, but not too tight. Round the measurement to the nearest whole number.

2. Bust

With a strapless, non-padded bra on, wrap the tape measure loosely around the fullest part of your chest, usually over your nipple. Make sure the tape is straight across your back and parallel to the floor. Round the measurement to the nearest whole number.

Waist

1. Stand up straightWear as little clothing as possible, like undergarments or close-fitting clothes, and stand with your back straight and shoulders down.

2. Find your waistLocate your navel and hip bone, then place the tape measure halfway between them, just above your belly.

3. Wrap the tapeMake sure the tape is parallel to the ground and even across your front and back. Pull the tape snug but not tight.

4. Check your workUse a mirror to check the tape's position across your back, especially if you're apple-shaped or carry weight around your waist, which can make your waist harder to find.

Hips

Find the fullest part of your hips around hip height (usually 7–10 inches below your waist):

1. Stand with your feet together, hold the tape measure parallel to the floor and wrap it around your body at your widest hip measurement. The tape should be close to your body but not tight.

2. Look in the mirror to make sure the tape is around your largest area below your waist. You can also try moving the tape up and down slightly to find the best measurement.

3. For accurate results, measure your hips twice and make sure the measurements are within half a centimeter of each other.

4. Measure your hips while seated by gently sitting down in a flat chair while keeping the tape in place.

Consider taking both standing and seated measurements to ensure your custom wear fits comfortably

Full Length

Measuring from the side of your shoulder all the way down to the soles of your feet (or however long you would like the length of your dress to be if for shorter dress). Does not include train or tail of dress (if applicable). This is essentially how you would like your dress length to look wearing lifted shoes.
